Nidhān Avtār Kaur (Jen Reid)
Nidhān Avtār Kaur is the spiritual name of Jen Reid, a Kundalini Research Institute Certified Instructor of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan.
“I live in central Fife and currently teach in centres in Fife and Kinross. Nidhān means ‘treasure’ – I try hard to be a treasure to others in my teaching! Having reached pensionable age a few years ago, I now delight in pursuing my many interests, not the least of which is my daily yoga practice. Not just about the strength and flexibility of the physical body (though that benefits too), kundalini yoga is a wonderful technology for dealing with the stress, speed of change and information overload that are today’s reality.
Yoga and meditation practices hold much promise, now being confirmed in medical studies, for helping alleviate mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression, as well as for physical ailments such as low back pain. Since my first experience of hatha yoga in the early 1970’s, I have practised a variety of types of yoga.
However, since discovering kundalini yoga (as taught by Yogi Bhajan) more recently, this has been my personal practice. In my experience, it quickly reaches parts of you other types of yoga may reach only with many years of practice!
I am committed to making the benefits of kundalini yoga accessible to everyone. To this end, I welcome adults of any age to my classes and workshops, including those with age-, health- and mobility-related challenges. I routinely offer chair-based alternatives to floor-based exercises for those who would benefit from them. On the other hand, the fit and nimble will not be denied an appropriate challenge! Whatever your background, I will be delighted to introduce you to the technology and treasures of Kundalini Yoga.”

Saturday morning class from 9:30 to 11am (longer session once a month) at Kelty Community Centre.
Sunday morning workshop once a month from 10am to 12 noon at Heart and Soul Centre, Kinross.
Saturday/ Sunday workshop once a month at Tonik Studio, Glenrothes. Website in construction so only have FB link at the moment.
