Shanti Nam Kaur (Mai)

My yoga journey began over 20 years ago with Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga.

 I enjoyed the health benefits of both and relied heavily on my practice during both my pregnancies.  However, I didn’t truly ‘connect’ with yoga outside of the physical.

 

Three years ago I joined a Kundalini Yoga class and after three sessions I was hooked!

 It was the first time I wanted to truly understand a practice and integrate it into my daily life.  The lights went on and I finally understood the “union' of true Yoga.  

As an Ayurvedic practitioner and therapist I loved how Kundalini Yoga fitted into the picture - it was like the final piece of the puzzle!

 In 2017 I began my teacher training with Hari Har Ji and Sat Nadar Kaur of the Sahej Academy. I qualified in 2018 as a KRI Level 1 Aquarian Teacher and am now building up my class schedule from my studio in East Lothian.

Ayurveda & Kundalini Yoga Retreat

3-8 May 2024
Andalusia, Spain


We will be in the warm, Andalusian sun for 5 days for deep rest, nourishment, and movement in a safe, nurturing community.
This women-only retreat will be infused with feminine energy, support, care, and healing as we learn how to become more Sattvic in our everyday lives. From each yoga practice to the lovingly prepared plant-based meals and every activity in between, you will be held and encouraged amongst like-hearted women.

Experience simple ways to increase your energy, balance your emotions, and embody a state of calm and relaxation- these will form the building blocks as you return to life after our time together.

At the end of our few days together our greatest wish is that you experience the signs of a Sattvic mind & body: 🌟 an ability to concentrate as well as calmly shift your attention 🌟 Self-confidence 🌟 Sound sleep 🌟 Healthy cravings 🌟 Sustained energy 🌟Emotional stability.

Days will follow the Ayurvedic principles of Dinacharya- Daily Routine- and consist of morning yoga, feast-style brunches followed by a walk into the mountains, and afternoons enjoying the sun or taking a Yoga Nidra in a shady spot, Ayurvedic massage, early light dinners, and an evening yoga &meditation practice.
